Trends from SA Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2018

South African Fashion Week took place from 24 – 28 October in Sandton, and Equilibrio attended the women’s collections. The season ahead is very exciting. Yes, the usual dark colours were present, as were the pinks and neutrals of the current season.  But some gorgeous reds, golds and blues made their debut.  Here are some of the top trends we spotted for the Autumn/Winter 2018 season ahead.

CITRUS

Beautiful orchard colours made a splash on the runway during SA Fashion Week. The yellows that are prominent this summer, continue into winter with the addition of orange.

RED

Whether it’s flaming postbox red or demure maroon, the catwalk was dripping in it. Wear head to toe for maximum effect.

BLUE

Autumn/Winter 2018 will depart from its usual navy tradition and introduce more vivid turquoise and royal blue.
