One of the joys of getting older is that odd places, like our eyelids start to sag. Luckily, we don’t grow hair on our ears like the guys, and we can adjust our make-up to our changing circumstances.
This tutorial started off being a demo of one of our new Lula Fox Ecolux Make-up eyeshadow sets, but soon morphed into a comparative demo of how to do your make-up if you have a slightly sagging top eyelid, or a hooded eye.
A hooded eye is when the bottom half of your top lid (or mobile lid) is very small and almost tucks under your top lid when your eye is open. What many women with hooded eyes do, is instinctively add thick, dark liner to make the mobile lid more visible. This is actually exactly what you shouldn’t do since dark liner pushes the lid further back and makes it look smaller.
Another common mistake is that women with heavy top eyelids add lighter colours or shimmer near the brow bone to try “open” the eye more. In reality, light colours give the illusion that the top lid is bigger than it really is.
Check out the video for tips on how to prevent these pitfalls and make your eyes look fresher and younger.
