It is seldom that one finds a garment that straddles style, class and comfort all at once. The Romaria Cotton Kimono is just that garment (recently updated from the beige version to the terracotta version).
THE COTTON KIMONO
The African Style Story Romaria Cotton Kimono is a mid-calf length, knitted kimono robe with wide, short sleeves. This South African-made kimono is a collaboration between Carla Pinto from African Style Story and Zydia Botes from Something Good Studio using unique patterns, natural fibres and intricate jacquard knitting techniques.
This cotton kimono robe is made in one size that will fit all body shapes. It’s a light knit that can be worn during any season.
THE TOP & LEGGINGS
We paired the stunning knitted kimono with a basic black base to not detract from the interesting shapes and patterns. The JMVB Polo Pony and High-waisted Leggings did the job perfectly.
To add further comfort to the already cosy outfit we’ve paired the knitted kimono with soft leather ankle boots from House of Cinnamon. The clutch in light green and grey python print adds an interesting pop of colour to the otherwise neutral outfit. We twinned the green clutch with the Kirsten Goss green Mini Lilium Earrings.
MAKEUP WITH THE OUTFIT
This is a casual look but to “glam” it up, we’ve done a liquid liner cat eye and a nude lip. To get tips on how to master liquid eyeliner, check out my IGTV video on the makeup and the outfit of the day, here.
