We’re very happy that JMVB is now making premium face masks for Equilibrio. All of the masks consist of three layers – two layers of breathable, high-density fabric at the front and back and one layer of 50gsm Spunbond that acts as a built-in filter in the middle. Spunbond assists in preventing droplets from entering or leaving the face mask without influencing the breathability. The design of these masks has been tried, tested and tweaked until we found the right, comfortable fit.
Size and fit: The model is wearing a size Small. These face masks are made in three sizes
Kids: measurement across the mask is 19cm, elastics around the head (not ears)
Small: measurement across the mask is 22cm, elastics around the ears (fits most women)
Medium: measurement across the mask is 24cm, elastics around the ears (fits most men)
Fabric: This black face mask is made from two layers of Cotton Twill, 65% cotton, 35% polyester, a high-density, high thread count fabric. The 3rd middle layer consists of a Spunbond filter. It has thin, soft elastics that fit comfortably around the ears (adults) or the head (kids). Find out more about the best facemask materials, here.
This face mask matched the JMVB Menton Boiler Suit, Black.
Care: Masks should be washed after every use in water that is 60 degrees or more with soap. Steam iron your face mask after each wash. Avoid using a very hot iron on the mask as you’ll risk damaging the Spunbond protective filter.
Safety tips: When putting on and removing your face mask, ensure that your hands are washed or sanitised. Avoid touching your face mask while using it. Remove it using the elastics, do not touch the front of the mask. Wash your face mask after every use. Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water or sanitiser after removing your mask.
Disclaimer: This item is not intended for use in frontline defence or as a substitute to an N95 mask. It does not guarantee safety against COVID-19 although studies have proven that a fabric mask does lower infection risk.
Made in Johannesburg, South Africa.
