Over the past year we have developed a huge girl crush on our SA jewellery designers. SA is home to some truly world class design talent and craftsmanship. We’re in the process of partnering with some of our favourite SA designers, like Kirsten Goss, to bring them to you on our own carefully curated online shopping platform.

If by some miracle you haven’t yet heard of her, today, we’re introducing you to Kirsten Goss Jewellery. We’ve featured the super stylish jewellery of the uniquely talented Kirsten Goss on Equilibrio on numerous occasions. Mich and I own a lot of her jewellery so we’re really excited to share her story with you.

ABOUT KIRSTEN GOSS

Kirsten Goss grew up in Durban and studied Fine Art at Stellenbosch University. Soon after graduating, she travelled to London where she worked and designed for leading fashion jewellery house Erickson Beamon. In 2002, she broke away and started her own label in the UK where she opened her first store in London in 2005. After returning to South Africa, Kirsten opened three more stores in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. Earlier this year, she opened her stunning new brand flagship store in the very fashionable Silo district in Cape Town.

Lily Pad Ring

Over the years, Kirsten Goss has collected an impressive number of awards. Some of the most notable include winning the Entrepreneur of the Year in the SA Business Club Business Awards 2011 in London, and being featured as one of the UK Professional Jeweller Hot 100 jewellers of the year in 2013. Then in 2012, she won the award for Most Beautiful Object in South Africa, at the Design Indaba for her Lily Pad ring pictured here. An utterly lust-worthy piece of SA design.

In addition to the numerous accolades and recognition of her talent, Kirsten Goss has built a small following with celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker and Rosamund Pike. She’s even designed pieces for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding!

Kirsten Goss jewellery reflects her fearless and quirky nature. Influenced by her gran’s collection of Scandi jewellery, it is contemporary at its core, with organic inspirations and a playful edge. The jewellery produced by the Kirsten Goss studio in Durban is of the highest quality with every piece being finished by hand, and with meticulous attention to detail. All Kirsten Goss jewellery is either 18kt gold, sterling silver, silver and gold vermeil or brass and gold vermeil. Each item of Kirsten Goss jewellery is accompanied by a soft cloth pouch and sturdy box in which you can safely store and protect your jewellery.

Another notable plus of owning a piece of Kirsten Goss jewellery is their after-sales service. All sterling silver and gold vermeil items can be replated. To keep your jewels looking as good as new, Kirsten Goss offers a free first replating. But keep a look out, they often run specials or promos’s which can even include a later free replating of your jewellery!

How do I pay?

Equilibrio makes use of a secure, third party payment system that is used by the majority of local online retailers called “PAYFAST”. We pay a small fortune in transaction fees to ensure that the payment system we use is secure and your banking information is safe.

How long will my jewellery take to get to me?

The delivery will take no more than 3-7 working weekdays to arrive in all major cities and towns within South Africa. If you’ve ordered a special Kirsten Goss piece it may take max 10 days.

How can I track my order?

Our jewellery designers use highly reputable courier companies with whom they have long-standing relationships. Each package has a unique tracking number issued by the courier company. This can be used to track the parcel on online from the moment it has been dispatched. You can then track the parcel every step of the way. From dispatch, until it is signed for by someone at the delivery address.

Is my jewellery insured during delivery?

Yes, the jewellery is insured during shipping. So, in the unlikely event that the parcel does go missing, and it is shown to never have been signed for at the address you provided, you will receive a full refund.

What happens if the jewellery is damaged when I receive it?

This is a highly unlikely scenario. The jewellers we have selected have the highest standards of workmanship and quality control. All items are thoroughly checked prior to dispatch, and then carefully packaged for delivery. In the unlikely event that an item arrives damaged, then you can exchange the item. We urge you to take a picture of the item if you believe it has arrived damaged. We will arrange for it to be collected at no expense to you. Please refer our Returns Policy for what you need to do.
